| Videoconferencing DDN (Digital Dakota Network) is the system used to send and receive classes for all the colleges, middle schools, and high schools in the state of South Dakota. SDSU has four rooms on the second floor of Pugsley that are used for this purpose. Each semester 12 to 15 classes are sent out and 12 to 15 classes are received from other colleges. We also have 8 to 10 conferences per week over the system with other state offices.
SDSU has a Polycom that can be used to hook up to anywhere in the world for a conference or class. We have used this to send and receive classes and conferences in other colleges within the United States.
We also have a satellite that we can download conferences into one of the rooms or send out over the local campus channels. For more information, please contact Bob Hoines at 688-5747.
| Video Production Classroom Technologies offers full audio and video production services and support for departmental academic needs. Contract service from concept to delivery, instruction for shooting, editing and delivery, project management, and consultations are available. On-site studios and editing facilities are on hand. For more information, please contact Mark Venhuizen at 688-6111.
