The Office of Information Technology coordinates all areas of information technology (IT) at SDSU. Under the direction of Dr. Mike Adelaine, the Vice President for Information Technology, programs, services, and support are provided to the University community.

Classroom Technology Services
This group is responsible for the technology-enhanced and DDN classrooms located on the University campus. This includes the initial installation of equipment, its maintenance, and upgrades. For more information, call 688.6312. eSDSU Laptop CenterThe eSDSU Laptop Center is dedicated to bringing the latest technology to students with guaranteed service and on-site support. By partnering with Gateway and Apple companies to create customized packages for students, we are able to offer top-of-the-line systems at educational pricing, while providing certified technical support. Information Technology Operations This group is responsible for the daily management of the Office of Information Technology and coordinating IT units and services, as well as managing the eSDSU Laptop Center, the Faculty Upgrade & Redistributed System programs, and the Student Technology Fellows. Information Security This team ensures University data security and establishes protocols to protect information, users, and the University. Questions or concerns should be reported to the Support Desk (688.6776) immediately. For more information, call 688.4988.
Information Technology Services Through its operation of the Support Desk, ITS serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff needing technical support. Equipment loan, repair, and the maintenance of general-use computer labs are also the responsibility of ITS. For more information, call 688.6776.
Instructional Design Services Effective teaching begins with good planning. Instructional design is the systematic planning process for developing and implementing instructional curricula. The instructional design team includes an Instructional Designer, an Assistant Instructional Designer, an Instructional Training Specialist, a Computer Support Associate, and an Instructional Technologies Specialist. Whatever your instructional requirements are, the instructional design team can assist you. From the initial stages of assessing the need, through the design and development process, to evaluating the effectiveness of delivery, we are your one-stop solution.
Student Technology Fellows (STF) Program Admittance into this elite undergraduate program pays the equivalent of 32 credit hours of tuition and general fees for each academic year the student is enrolled. In return for this stipend (paid monthly), STFs provide technology support to faculty and the University. For more information, call 688.4988.
University Networking Systems and Services UNSS provides the infrastructure upon which technology systems are built and assures internet access to the campus community. In addition, they maintain the server farm, on which the majority of institutional software and applications are run. For more information, call 688.4988.
