Federal TRiO Philosophy:
The Federal TRiO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs. These programs are designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds as they progress from high school through post secondary education. South Dakota State University is excited to offer two TRiO programs to serve and support low-income, First-generation college and disabled students with their academic progress. These two programs consist of Student Support Services and Classic Upward Bound.
SDSU's TRiO Programs
SDSU is proud to host two federal TRiO Programs. The first program, Student Support Services was funded September 1, 2001. The second TRiO program, Classic Upward Bound, was funded September 1, 2003. For additional information on these two programs, please click on the following links.
