As does every community, SDSU has specific rules and regulations, as well as general guidelines of good citizenship and responsible behavior.  The SDSU Student Code has been developed by students, faculty, and staff to help students understand the expectations of the university community and obtain the maximum benefits from their educational experience.

One should understand that by virtue of enrollment, all students enter into an agreement with the University that they will abide by the institution’s rules and regulations and will observe the standards expected of students.

The SDSU Judicial System is designed to protect the rights and property of the University and of all persons within the University community.  The system attempts to educate rather than punish, through the use of appropriate sanctions and educational conditions to sanctions.

The fundamental purpose of the SDSU Judicial System is to maintain the standards of the University by helping students understand their responsibilities to the University community.

Members of the University community who are involved in the Judicial System will find that is document contains information which answers questions about the judicial process.  Other sources include the SDSU Student Code and the Residential Hall Handbook.
