FARES

Fares are $1.50 per one-way ride within the city of
Brookings and are paid upon boarding the vehicle unless other arrangements have been made with the office.  Riders must have correct change or a ticket to ride.  Drivers do not carry change.  A ride is defined as a one-way trip for one person regardless of the number of people in a bus at any one time.

For people age 60 and over the suggested contribution is the same as the fares, however, they may contribute what they can afford.

Tickets are available in books of 10 for $15.00 from the BATA drivers, office, and many local Financial Institutions.
We are a MEDICAID Provider!

All Buses Are Handicap Accessible

BATA buses are equipped with hydraulic lift to ensure access to the disabled.  All wheelchairs must be of size not larger than the base of the hydraulic lift and weigh no more than 600 pounds in order to be transported.
