| About The Team-
The South Dakota State University Women's Hockey program has been in existence since 2003, and competes in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Women's Division II.
The Jackrabbits placed 3rd at the 2006-2007 National Championships held at the University of Massachusetts. Jackrabbit players and coaching staff have received multiple accolades including: National Player of the Year, 1st Team All-American, 2nd Team All-American, 1st Team All-Tournament Team, All-Tournament Team Honarable Mention, Assistant Coach of the Year and Head Coach of the Year.
The Jackrabbit Women's Hockey program is looking forward to continued program expansion and success.
About The Coaches-
Head Coach Heath Isaacson- Coach Isaacson is in his fourth year as Head Coach for the Jackrabbits. He has been instrumental in developing the program since its inception. Isaacson has dedicated himself through endless hours and effort in creating a program that has shown continued expansion and competitiveness. Coach Isaacson played for the Jackrabbit Men's Team from 1999-2004. As a the all time team leader in goaltending and Team President from 2002-2004, Isaacson was critical in the success of the Jackrabbit Men's Team. Coach Isaacson is a 2004 and 2006 graduate of South Dakota State University earning degrees in: Mass Communication, Journalism, Sociology and Education.
Assistant Coach Dallas Shearer- Coach Shearer is in his third year as AssistantCoach for the Jackrabbits. He brings previous college hockey experience, playing for the Jackrabbit Men's Team as a defensemen from 1999-2004. While playing at SDSU Shearer served as team Vice-President from 2002-2004, and helped the team capture a confrence title in 2004, along with a National Championship appearances in 2004. Shearer is a 2004 graduate of South Dakota State University earning a Bachelor of Science in History and Aviation. He has also been a member of the South Dakota Air National Guard since 2000. Coach Shearer is currently on a 15-month Military Responsibility but will continue to be a valuable member of the SDSU coaching staff.
