CONFERENCE SERVICES
Whether you are planning a meeting or seminar for two people, or a sports camp for a thousand, our campus can accommodate any group. To make your gathering a success, our university offers a One Stop Shop. We offer on-campus food service, housing, facilities scheduling, and individual attention.
What does South Dakota State University offer to make your camp or conference successful?
Meals
SDSU Dining Services has several dining sites located throughout campus to serve your group. In these facilities we can accommodate every style of dining, from formal sit-down banquets to light snacks. We can also provide picnics, banquets, receptions, snack breaks, sack lunches, and special requests.
Facilities
The SDSU campus offers conference planners a wide range of flexible facilities to accommodate any size organization. The University Student Union features conference rooms, banquet areas, snack bars, game rooms, lounges, and break-out meeting areas. Special setup needs can usually be accommodated and modern audio-visual equipment is also available. Other facilities include computer labs, physical education and recreation center, theatres, classrooms, a swimming pool, and more.
Housing
SDSU Camps and Conferences use SDSU’s residence halls to accommodate conference guests. Each hall has floor lounges, television areas, and snack and beverage machines. Most feature recreational areas equipped with pool, ping-pong, and foosball tables.
Berg and Bailey Halls are air-conditioned, apartment-style halls. These apartments have four separate bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room area.
The Department of Residential Life has staff available to assist your group leaders before, during and after your event. Residential Life is responsible for check-in, check-out, keys, and the safety and security of all guests.
Audio-Visual/Media Materials & Equipment
The SDSU Conference Center can help make your meetings a success with the use of various media equipment. Available at an additional cost, these services are offered to all the summer camps and conferences. The Camps and Conference personnel will need to be contacted two weeks in advance to let us know what equipment your group will need.
Laundry Facilities
Each residence hall is equipped with coin-operated facilities. This is available to participants during their stay.
