Managing Director, Famous Door Theatre
Communication Studies and Theater, B.A.

In 2001, South Dakota State University graduate Amanda LaFollette joined the Famous Door Theater in Chicago as Managing Director. The highly acclaimed theater hired LaFollette after a national search, luring her with the theater’s mission of developing the artistic vision with soulful, provocative and entertaining premieres and seldom-seen plays in an intimate environment. LaFollette was one of the leading forces behind the production of the widely anticipated Midwest premiere of Cider House Rules for the theater’s 15th anniversary in 2003.
