New Student Orientation

You can go anywhere from here! And that journey begins with New Student Orientation. Orientation is the first step to achieving your goals as a student at SDSU. Entering college is an exciting and challenging time. The New Student Orientation Program will introduce students to our campus and community, easing the transition to South Dakota State University. During the Orientation program you will have a chance to build connections with other students, become familiar with campus resources, tour the university, meet with an academic advisor, register for your classes, and much more.
The New Student Orientation Office coordinates three major orientation programs: summer, fall, and spring orientation. Each program is designed with the student in mind. Attendance at Orientation is necessary and experience has shown that students who attend the Orientation program feel better prepared for university life. We are glad that you have chosen to attend SDSU and we look forward to meeting you during Orientation.
