Non-Traditional Students

Federal Aid

SDSU encourages all students to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by completing the online application at www.fafsa.ed.gov [External Hyperlink].

Scholarships

There are some SDSU scholarships designated for non-traditional students and click here to complete an online scholarship application.

Go to the SDSU scholarship page for general scholarship information.

Employer Benefits

Check with your employer to see if they offer any tuition assistance or reimbursement.  Even if they don't, see if you can negotiate trading benefits for education opportunities.  Explain to your employer the benefits of having a more educated employee.

Alternative / Non-Federal Loans

Alternative loans are non-federal loans offered by some lenders to provide additional aid.  Alternative loan applications are available at the SDSU Financial Aid Office.

Veteran's Services

Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces may be eligible for extra federal aid.  For more information on SDSU's Veteran Services please click here.
