Students can use any lender (bank, savings & loan, credit union, etc) participating in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (includes Federal Stafford Loan).  If you do not have a lender preference, an optional SDSU Lender List including some regional financial institutions who are listed below and have various benefits that may include a reduction of loan fees; loan repayment benefits, loan servicing,  student service support system, and physical facilities in South Dakota to provide additional customer services. Some Brookings financial institutions are also listed due to customer base and local additional services available for SDSU students.

Students (and families) are encouraged to research the lender benefits, customer service, and other information related to loan processing and services.  SDSU has not and can not recommend lenders since it is the student's choice.
