| Traditionally called the "Barn" from its association with Little International, the Gymnasium-Armory Building was designed as a drill floor for ROTC, but it served as the venue for all SDSU intercollegiate sporting contests from 1918 until 1973. As the largest facility of its kind in the state at that time, it hosted the state basketball tournaments in the l930's. Its 3,000 seat capacity was soon stretched to the limit by enrollments of over 6,000 students, and in 1973 the Jacks moved into the 9,500 seat Frost Arena. As the Intramural Building, the Barn now houses intramural sports activities. | |||
