Welcome to the South Dakota World Affairs Council!

The South Dakota World Affairs Council is one of 86 councils nationwide affiliated with the World Affairs Councils of America. SDWAC is formed exclusively for educational purposes and specifically for the purpose of providing information on world affairs to the citizens of South Dakota and the region. SDWAC seeks to stimulate interest in and promote discussion of international relations, world cultures, and U.S. foreign policy. SDWAC takes no stand on current issues. Speakers will include Pedro Magalhaes, Deputy Consul General, the Consul of Brazil in Chicago, representatives from the Stanley Foundation and local experts
Volstorff Ballroom, University Student Union, South Dakota State University

Symposium: 1 - 5 p.m.; reception: 5:30 p.m. - Symposium is free but registration is requested
