1.            The meeting was called to order by chairperson, Mary Kidwiler at 3:15 p.m.

2.            Mary welcomed guest Becky Barkmeier from Human Resources.

3.            Mary moved for approval of January 15, 2008 Minutes.  Motion passed.

 4.            Agenda for February 20, 2008 was approved.

5.            Treasurer Jodi Pierce was absent.  The following account information is as of January 15, 2008:

6.            Highlights of Becky Barkmeier’s HR updates are as follows:

                       o     Investment Planning Day will be March 5^th.

o     Meeting in Watertown on May 4^th regarding managing your retirement.  For details and/or to register, go to www.sdrs.sd.gov or call 888-605-SDRS.

o     There will be some changes to our health plan for FY09.  Louise will be attending a meeting in March.  Details will be announced after that time.

7.          A.   February EOM was Carol Jacobson of Wildlife and Fisheries.  Her reception was held Monday, February 11^th.

              B.    Council members were assigned businesses to solicit for door prizes for the March 19^th Spring Meeting.  Mary will be sending letters to retirees, EOM, and years of service recipients.  She will also be making the certificates.

              C.    Michelle Sage will run the CSAC election in March.  New members will begin their service in April.  At present time there are candidates for all areas of service except for the Maintenance and Security group. 

               D.    No date has yet been set for Fall CSAC Meeting.  We plan to do an ice cream sundae event.

 8.          Executive Session

 9.          Next Meeting will be Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in Ag Hall 150.  This will be a “no-host” short meeting to finalize plans for the Spring Mass Meeting.
