Jolie McCoy, MSW


Jolie McCoy earned her masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin in 1975 and has worked in the mental health field since then with children, families, adults and in education in Texas, Nebraska and South Dakota.

As Director of Counseling and Student ADA Services for the SD School of Mines since 1997, she has worked with a variety of student personal, academic and wellness issues and is part of the Mines Student Affairs Team.

During the last three years she administered a federal grant for suicide prevention. Jolie has been an adjunct professor and internship supervisor for WRGC since 1998 and currently teaches Developmental Issues in Counseling. She is a gardener, wife, mother, grandmother and concerned citizen.
