EDAD & CHRD Graduate Program

The South Dakota State University-West River Graduate Center (SDSU-WRGC)Click to view SDSU's Hyperlink Policy, a branch campus of SDSU College of Education and Counseling, is located in Rapid City, South Dakota at the foothills of the beautiful Black Hills. More than 200 graduate students attend classes held on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology or at the Higher Education Center, EDAD classes are also offered at the Lakeway Learning Center in Gillette Wyoming. SDSU-WRGC offers two master's degrees: a 35 credit-hour M.Ed. in Educational Administration (EDAD), a 36 credit-hour administrative degree or a 48 credit-hour master's degree leading to an (M.S.) in Counseling and Human Resource Development (CHRD). Successful completion of the M.Ed. program in EDAD can lead to state certification as a school principal. Master's degree candidates in CHRD may specialize in agency, school or personnel services. All CHRD and EDAD programs are nationally accredited.

SDSU takes pride in fulfilling its land-grant mission as a long-time provider of undergraduate and graduate courses and programs in higher education in the Black Hills area.
