David Halberstam

The author of 10 best-selling books on everything from politics to sports, David Halberstam won the Pulitzer Prize for his early reports from the Vietnam War and in the following years earned every other major journalistic award. His books include The Best and the Brightest, The Fifties, and Summer of '49.

As an expert on both the '50s and the '90s, he will look at the dramatic changes in America as it enters a new century, without the burden of the Cold War, but facing a profound change in the nature of work.
