Career Opportunities
The demand for pharmacists is high and SDSU students enjoy an excellent placement rate. There is a diverse range of career opportunities in pharmacy, including: community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical sales, military pharmacy, clinical and laboratory research, positions in federal, state, and local government, professional association work, and many other specialized areas. Additional training or advanced degrees are usually necessary to teach or to conduct research.
