Pharmacy Practice
Pharmacy Practice Department Mission
The mission of the Department of Pharmacy Practice is to educate students in the various aspects of pharmacy practice, utilizing the principles of pharmaceutical care, problem-based learning, and critical thinking. The faculty works closely with the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences to deliver a quality program leading to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in pharmaceutical sciences and professional doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree in pharmacy.
The faculty of the department endeavors to excel in the University missions of:
1) Teaching and Advising
2) Research and Creative Activity
3) Professional Outreach and Specific Service
4) General Service
Implicit in all departmental activities is concordance with the University Lead Forward Land Grant Agenda, which includes enabling and influencing internationally competitive students, communication - able students, globally informed students, and socially responsible graduates while maintaining an effort for the recruitment and retention of students.
