Research Interests:
The central tenets of our research is to understand the molecular basis of improving the 'deliverability' of drugs at the interface of chemical and biological sciences. This knowledge is used to design novel delivery systems to address drug permeability and solubility issues with specific focus on the following:
1. Enhance Transdermal Delivery of Small and Large Molecules.
2. Design and Evaluation of Novel Nanostructured Delivery Vehicles.
3. Transcutaneous Vaccine Delivery Systems.
4. Protein and DNA Delivery Systems.
5. Design of Intracellular Drug Delivery Vehicles.
6. Preformulation and Solid-state Pharmaceutics.
Active Projects:
1. Dendrimers as Topical/Transdermal Drug Delivery Vehicles
2. Transcutaneous Delivery of Gene Based Medicines
3. Zein nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Applications
4. Transcutanoues Vaccine Delivery
5. Dendrimers as Intracellular Drug Delivery Vehicles
