The College of Pharmacy along with the South Dakota
Foundation for Medication Care sponsored a teleconference in
December 2006, The teleconference is now available on the web at http://www.sdfmc.org/PrescriptionsPartD/Teleconferences/Index.cfm
The two one-hour sessions will provide pharmacists with information
on a Prescription Drug Plan’s (PDP’s) Medication Therapy Management
(MTM) program and the role of the pharmacist in these plans.
In addition, principles for providing MTM will be presented along with
case examples. Lastly, the sessions will overview quality measures
that are being developed to evaluate the effectiveness of MTM services.
