Health Professions Career Camp

Interested in a health career? 
Explore your interest at SDSU's Health Professions Career Camp!

• July 15-17, 2009 
• Open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade high school students
• Up to 25 students selected to attend
• On the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD

The aim of the camp is to inform, educate, and inspire young people about the many careers available in health-related professions.  Activities will include tours, workshops, speakers, and hands-on demonstrations in areas including nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, athletic training, health promotion, biology, microbiology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, respiratory care, health information management, and veterinary science.  Students will have the chance to participate in field trips to health care facilities and to interact with a variety of health care professionals.

• $75
• Meals, lodging, and educational and recreational activities provided
