The Undergraduate Nursing Program at South Dakota State University has three options that lead to a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The first option, the Standard Option, is a four year nursing program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Nursing. This option is offered in Brookings and Rapid City. Any student accepted for study by SDSU is eligible to enroll in the pre-nursing program.
The second option is the RN Upward Mobility Option for Registered Nurses who have graduated from an NLNAC-accredited associate degree or diploma program. The curriculum is offered on-line with preceptors from your area.
The third option is the Accelerated Option delivered in a compressed format over 12 months. This option is for students who have a bachelors degree in another field. The curriculum is offered at University Center in Sioux Falls.

The College of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). SDSU graduates continue to score above the national average on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). As a result, regional and national demand for our baccalaureate-prepared nurses continues to be strong. |
