I graduated from Augustana College with my Bachelor of Arts and then Clarkson College with my Master’s of Science in Nursing. The topic of my thesis was “Associate Degree Nursing Student and Faculty Perceptions of Nursing Clinical Teacher Effectiveness Characteristics”.

I currently serve as an online instructor with teaching responsibilities in family nursing and communication, leadership and management, and research design.  I have been a clinical instructor in adult medical-surgical, oncology, and critical-care nursing in addition to holding positions outside academia as staff nurse, nurse educator, case manager, and program manager. 

Special interests include utilization of technology in teaching and distance education.
