I completed my doctorate in Adult and Higher Education in 2001 at the University of South Dakota. I have a post-Master’s course work in Parent-Child Nursing and a Master’s degree in Adult Nursing with Educator Option from SDSU in 1985. My BS is from SDSU.
My focus of teaching at the undergraduate level is in Maternal-Newborn Nursing and Professional Issues. At the graduate level, I teach the Nurse Educator Practicum course. I also serve as the Semester Three coordinator.
As a certified Lactation Consultant, I teach Breastfeeding Preparation courses in the community.My memberships include the National League for Nurses, American Nurses Assocation, Sigma Theta Tau, AWHONN, Lamaze International, ICEA, International Lactation Consultants Association, Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi.
My focus of scholarship is Breastfeeding, Postpartum Depression, Family-Parenting Education
