As part of my faculty role, I serve as the Coordinator of Research for the College of Nursing. My teaching and research focus on health promotion and social justice for rural and underserved populations. This interest stems from clinical background as an advanced practice public health nurse. Agencies that have funded my research include the USDHHS National Institute’s of Health (NIH) and the Health Resource and Service Administration (HRSA), Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and the SD Department of Health as part of Center for Disease Control initiatives.
