Merchandising Minor
Description: This minor allows a student to specifically study the merchandising process. Students who complete this minor will have developed competencies in the areas of merchandising and buying, retail theory and practice, and trends research and analysis. Graduates are prepared to be more competitive when seeking internships and positions in such arenas retail store settings, corporate retail environments, resident buying offices, and trade associations. Positions could include buying team member (buyer, business analyst, planner, allocator), retail store executive team member (all levels of management), manufacturer sales representative, and auxiliary positions with related trade associations, media, and trend organizations.
