Research Vision Statement In my investigation of retail orientation programs, I have come to realize that the previous experience of the potential or current employees impacts the effectiveness of orientation and the resultant service provided to the customer. Three aspects which I feel are integral to this are: (1) the actual effectiveness of retail orientation programs, (2) previous experiential or educational experiences of the retail employee, and (3) the effectiveness of orientation programs and how it affects customer service.
It is my vision that there may be linkages between orientation training, continuing training and customer service provided.
