| Purpose
|
| The purpose of the SDSU Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council is to provide external input and exchange with the Department of Mechanical Engineering that will result in continuous program improvement. This continuous external interaction is considered vital for the program to successfully fulfill its mission and objectives. Particular tasks are:
1. To act as an alert sounding board on M.E. professional and technical activities.
2. To make suggestions to the M.E. Department of curriculum changes and improvement.
3. To facilitate communication between campus and the professional and lay public.
4. To be a channel for the dissemination of information.
5. To give direction on trends, technology, science, engineering, and workplace trends.
6. To provide direction and exchange information on economic or society needs and changes.
