Larry Taylor

LARRY TAYLOR
Larry Taylor is an adjunct Instructor in Art History at SDSU, and has served the department since 2004. Currently his courses are offered exclusively online--from anywhere in the world! Art Appreciation and the World Art surveys are delivered as internet classes through Distance Education at South Dakota State. 

Taylor obtained the Master of Arts in art history at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Areas of specialization include modern and contemporary art, 19th-century American art, minimalism, and spirituality in art. His most recent publication was a review of Carrie Mae Weems’ “Louisiana Project” in Winston-Salem, NC . Mr. Taylor has delivered public lectures on such topics as “The Apocalypse through Art,” “Images of Orpheus in Western Art,” and on “The Art of Wayne Thiebaud.”
