Cable Hardin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Arts. A filmmaker and animator, his interests and research include traditional and 2D digital animation techniques as well as the hybridization of animation and live action elements in form and style. He holds an MFA in Film Production from Ohio University and a BS in Geography from James Madison University.
In addition to creating numerous short films, commercials and animation for broadcast, web and festival venues, Cable has taught theory and techniques on film and animation including coursework on interactive animation. He has also organized animation festivals, screenings and workshops with visits from prominent commercial and independent guest artists. Additionally, Cable also specializes in makeup and special effects makeup for film and television and has experience working on film and television productions of all scopes and sizes.
