The SDSU Psi Chi Chapter owes these individual a lot of thanks for their efforts to make Psi Chi at SDSU a success. Journal Reading Group is going to start again! Please be on the lookout for upcoming journal reading group meetings!
If you interested in joining Psi Chi, the minimum qualifications are: • Completion of at least 3 semesters or 5 quarters of college courses.
• Completion of 9 semester hours or 14 quarter hours of psychology (completion of 3 3 credit Psychology courses).
• Registration as a Psychology major or minor or for a program that is psychological in nature which is equivalent to being a Psychology major or minor.
• Undergraduates who are elected to Psi Chi membership must rank in the upper 35% of their class in general scholarship. For all practical purposes, this is viewed as a GPA of at least 3.00.
• For graduate students, the same GPA requirement is enforced.
• High standards of personal behavior.
• Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the Psi Chi chapter.
• A one time fee of $35.00 for national dues. An extra $5.00 for local chapter dues is requested but not required. Checks should be made out to Psi Chi and given to Dr. Phelps.
