Professor James McKinney
Professor James McKinney is Director of Bands at South Dakota State University. He directs the "Pride of the Dakotas" marching band, symphonic band, and is percussion instructor.
Mr. McKinney has adjudicated and performed with high school and university bands throughout the United States and Canada. His professional affiliations include honorary memberships in Kappa Kappa Phi and Phi Mu Alpha. He has been selected as an Outstanding Young Man of America and in 1991 was chosen as the Phi Beta Mu outstanding band director in South Dakota. Mr. McKinney is a member of the American Bandmasters Association.
