Jazz Ensembles
There are two jazz ensembles at SDSU and both are open to students from any major on campus by audition.
In addition to the two large jazz ensembles, student combos are organized as needed and courses in jazz improvisation are available each semester.
SDSU hosts high school bands from throughout the region for the annual SDSU/Brookings Optimist Jazz festival. The next SDSU/Optimist Jazz Festival is scheduled for April 1, 2008. For more information, contact Nathan Jorgensen at 688-4092.
