Each year SDSU Spanish students enjoy an intensive immersion in the language and culture of a Spanish-speaking country. Our trips are guided by one or more faculty leaders. Students spend 4-5 weeks living with families and attending language classes based on their level. Weekend excursions and free exploration time give students an excellent opportunity to experience the host culture and practice their communication skills. These trips offer up to 6 credits that count toward fulfilling a minor or major in Spanish.
Costs vary but the total price is considered comparable if not more economical to similar programs hosted by other neighboring institutions around the country. The benefits last a lifetime!!
Other study abroad travel is available for individuals who wish to combine interdisciplinary academics with living abroad during a longer period of time from that described here. Please contact the SDSU International Affairs office regarding their exchange programs offered. Their web site is: http://international.sdstate.edu/ [External Hyperlink]
