Margarita Hanson comes to SDSU from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas.  She received a Bachelors Degree in Spanish and a Curriculum and Instruction Teaching Certification from The Pennsylvania State University, and a Masters Degree in Education from Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas.

 

Margie was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. Apart from teaching, she has also worked as a Spanish translator for 20 years.  She enjoys writing short stories, watercolor painting, reading, and church activities.  Margie is the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of twins.
