Dr. Enz, a native Minnesotan, received her B.A. in French and Spanish from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and her M.A. and Ph.D. in French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also completed a Ph.D. minor in Spanish. Dr. Enz comes to us from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, where she taught all levels of French and Spanish language as well as courses on French and Francophone culture, civilization, and literature. Her research focuses on intersections of race and gender in 19th century French and contemporary Francophone fiction. She is particularly interested in Francophone literature and cinema from Africa and the Caribbean.
Dr. Enz has lived in Mexico City, Mexico and Strasbourg and Nantes, France and has traveled extensively throughout Europe. Here at SDSU, Dr. Enz will be teaching both French and Spanish classes and will serve as the French Club advisor. She looks forward to working with SDSU students both in and outside the classroom. |
