Professor Paulson teaches the radio and television courses in the department. He also teaches History of Journalism (MCom 417) and in the spring, Mass Media and Society (MCom 416/516).

He is responsible for arranging Broadcasters Day each spring. He serves as newsletter editor for the Northwest Broadcast News Association, which is a professional and educators’ organization covering the Dakotas, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
