Professor Olson is on sabbatical during the Spring 2006 semester. He teaches Magazine Writing and Editing (MCom 315), Introduction to Digital Media (MCom 220), Advanced Editing (MCom 412) and Computer Assisted Information Gathering (MCom 413). He also directs the graduate program.


He has previously taught a semester in China and is on SDSU's new International Advisory Council. Professor Olson is known nationally for his research in scholastic journalism and teaching writing.
