 Dick Lee was chosen "the Journalism Administrator of the Year" for 2002. The national award is presented to a top administrator each year by The Freedom Forum. Lee was department head from 1978 to 2002. During those years, he oversaw the successful renovation of Yeager Hall, formerly known as the Printing and Rural Journalism Building, and led the department through reaccreditation many times. He was the executive director of the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors, an organization that fosters strong opinion writing and community leadership, for seven years. |
