Char Telkamp (2005 News Editorial/Political Science) has joined the staff of the Groton Independent and the Groton Daily Independent. At the newspaper, Telkamp does everything from ad sales to school board coverage.

Janelle Krause Toman pursuing doctorate in educational administration
Janelle Krause Toman (Journalism 1979) currently serves as Information Director for the South Dakota Board of Regents and is pursuing a doctorate in educational administration at the University of South Dakota. Toman's studies emphasize adult and higher education.

Vipond is webmaster for Milbank publishing company
James Vipond (Broadcast, 1996) moved to Milbank, S.D. recently and accepted a position as webmaster for Midland Publishing & Printing.

Wenisch a communication specialist for the Minnesota House of Representatives
Jason Wenisch (Broadcast 1996) recently completed his fourth year of service as a communications specialist at the Minnesota House of Representatives. Before working for the Minnesota House, Wenisch spent four years as a reporter/anchor at KTTC-TV in Rochester and two years as a reporter for KELO-TV in Sioux Falls. Wenisch and his wife Anne live in Hastings, Minn., and they have two sons.
