PHI ALPHA THETA

ALPHA ALPHA THETA CHAPTER

South Dakota State University has a chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the international history honor society. Current officers are:

Faculty Advisor: Melanie A. Bailey

Membership in Phi Alpha Theta is open to students who meet all of the following requirements:

1) a GPA of 3.000 in all courses
2) a GPA of 3.100 in history courses
3) completion of at least 12 credits in history.

If you meet the above requirements, we suggest that you consider joining, since membership in an honor society is an indication of academic achievement. The lifetime membership fee is $30, which includes a one-year subscription to the society's history journal.
