Matthew Vukovich

Matthew Vukovich Ph.D., FACSM

Currently, Dr. Vukovich is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Applied Physiology Lab at SDSU. Dr. Vukovich received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/exercise science and his Master of Science degree in Physical Education/exercise physiology from Iowa State University. In 1993, he obtained his doctorate in human bioenergetics from Ball State University. Upon completion of his doctorate, Dr. Vukovich was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Applied Physiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Vukovich has also held positions at Wichita State University and Experimental and Applied Sciences. At South Dakota State University, Dr. Vukovich's research focuses primarily on ergogenic aids, nutritional supplementation, and exercise metabolism and performance.
