Professional Writing Minor

The Professional Writing Minor exposes students to writing in the humanities and sciences as well as the corporate and non-corporate sectors.  Students will increase their awareness of writing situations they will encounter in the workplace.

By analyzing and composing digital texts, and in enriching their visual literacy, students gain technology skills necessary for writing in the modern workplace.

The Professional Writing Minor prepares students for success in a wide variety of fields, such as technical communicators; web authors, designers, and content managers; publishers, publishing coordinators, and publication managers; science and medical writers; information architects: usability specialists and researchers; communications specialists; and grant and proposal writers.
