Major Areas: American Literature, 1848-present, Film Studies (including history and theory), Composition and Rhetoric, American Literature and Film of the Vietnam Era, DeLillo and Pynchon Studies, Modern/Postmodern Studies




 


Jason McEntee received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 2004.  He received his MA in Composition and Language Studies (1998) as well as his BA in English/Education (1994) from SDSU.  His dissertation focuses on the relationship between soldiers/warriors and domestic spaces in post-Vietnam War movies from 1979-1999.  His research interests are in war movies (including combat and coming home/domestic melodramas, especially from the Vietnam era), DeLillo and Pynchon studies, and American Film.
