English Scholarships

The generosity of the alumni and faculty of the English Department has enabled the department to fund a number of scholarships for English majors. Such awards recognize scholarship, creativity, and achievement in writing.
Applying for a Scholarship
All scholarship applications are now done online through MyState Online Verified Services, a portal that can be accessed only by students The old paper application forms will no longer be accepted.The URL for this site will be activated on January 22. A link will be found on the College of Atrs and Sciences Website. The deadline for application is February 15. Note that students holding Jackrabbit Gaurantees must apply to have their scholarship renewed for the next year.
Supporting the Students and Activities of the English Department

Other scholarships also honor former students and members of the department. Alumni and friends of the English Department who would like to explore ways to support the current students and activities of the department may wish to contact Dr. Donovan, the Department Head.

Gifts for the English Department may be sent directly to the SDSU Foundation. Checks should be payable to the SDSU Foundation, but the English Department should be clearly designated on the memo line of the check to make sure that the gift reaches the English Department.
