The Department of Communication Studies and Theatre offers multiple specializations, including Theatre, Speech Communication and Speech Education, providing the student an opportunity to choose the program best suited to individual interests. All students may take classes from the various options.
The department is staffed by experienced faculty that are nationally recognized for their expertise and teaching ability. Students may pursue a BA, BS or minor in Communication Studies and have the opportunity to get involved in numerous activities, including Forensics and Theatre.
Students wishing to pursue a Master of Science degree will find a program that emphasizes areas of personal interest, including speech, theatre or communication studies.
Our generalized curriculum has enabled graduates to successfully pursue doctoral degrees and careers in the performing arts, business, industry, and education. The M.S. is an option for those with majors in speech or related fields.
