SDSU Forensics

The SDSU Forensics team helps students to improve their speaking skills through intercollegiate competition. Students prepare and practice their speeches and then present them in competition with students from other schools.

Tournaments are held from October through March; invitational tournaments are usually on weekends. National competition, for which students may qualify during the regular tournament season, takes place in April.

Any student enrolled at SDSU is eligible to join the Forensics Team. No previous experience necessary, and you can arrange practice sessions at almost any time to get the help you need to prepare. We provide transportation, entry fees, and lodging. You can also get credit for joining Forensics, but it's not required. There are Eleven individual events and two debate events to participate in.
