Dr. Gerald Warmann, Ph.D.

Gerald WarmannProfessor and Extension Specialist


Dr. Warmann, a native of Missouri, joined the SDSU Department of Economics in 2007. A trained economist, he worked in the Cooperative Extension Service in several states. Before coming to South Dakota, he was the District Extension Director for Oklahoma’s Northwest District. In South Dakota, he was the Associate Dean and Director of the Cooperative Extension Service before transferring to the Economics Department. He holds the rank of Professor and Extension Farm Management Specialist—Production. His areas of emphasis include cost of production budgeting and enterprise analysis.
