Extension Grain Marketing Specialist

Alan May is the Grain Marketing Specialist for the SDSU Cooperative Extension Service. May has worked for the SDSU Cooperative Extension Service since 1979 as an Extension Educator, an Area Farm Management Specialist and since 1996, as Extension Grain Marketing Specialist.

Mr. May's major area of responsibility is the development and delivery of Extension educational programs in price risk management and general risk management. He conducts price risk management workshops and outlook presentations for farmers, ranchers, and agri-business professionals throughout the state. 

Mr. May is a native of South Dakota; raised on a farm in Day County near Andover, South Dakota.
